The R User Group at The University of Manchester (R.U.M.) is a special interest group that aims to bring together R users of all levels to share R best practices, expertise and knowledge for the benefit of all.

This friendly and supportive group is open to all staff and postgraduate researchers at the University of Manchester, UK.

Mychel is a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Manchester, with interest in cell-matrix biology. I use R on a daily basis for bioinformatics analysis of high-throughput data from mass spectrometry experiments.

I’m a PhD student studying microbial evolution. I frequently use R in my research, both for simulating bacterial growth and for analysing lab data. I think R is an amazing tool and am excited to be bringing people together to share expertise in its many uses ORCiD

I am a post-doctoral research associate in medical statistics at The University of Manchester, working on a project developing a clinical prediction algorithm for predicting risk of relapse in psychosis. I have been using R for around 6 years and particularly like the tidyverse and creating fun visualisations with ggplot2.
